Improper waste handling systems and open waste disposal systems currently have many negative impacts. The designing of the Waste Management Center building can be an industrial building that is environmentally friendly and a solution to the waste problem in Indonesia, especially in Medan City. The Waste Management Center in Medan will provide a new experience to the local community, so it can change the negative view of the waste treatment site into a place that can produc e energy for community is needs. The building is also equipped with Educational, Recreational and Information Centers, Research and Development of waste processing which can support extension activities and learning for the community to see how waste is processed With the ability of Architecture, the building can eliminate the bad image of waste. And it will be the place worth visiting as an educational and recreational tourism.
