This study aims to improve the growth and yield of sticky corn that is efficient in terms of planting distance and weed control frequency. The problem identified in this study is that planting distances that are too close together can cause competition for nutrients between sticky corn plants, while weed growth can take nutrients away from sticky corn plants. If planting distances are too close together and weeds are not controlled properly, sticky corn yields can decrease. This study was conducted at the Gelugur Rimbun Research Field of the University of Panca Budi Development in Medan, located in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The study employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: planting distance and weed removal frequency. The results of this study indicate that the effect of the J3 treatment spacing (50 cm x 45 cm) is superior, with the highest average values in every parameter of glutinous corn plant growth and a significant effect on the number of fruit parameter. The effect of weed removal frequency did not result in any superior treatment across all growth parameters of glutinous corn plants. However, it had a significant effect on the number of fruits. Additionally, there was a significant effect on the number of fruits for two combined treatments of planting distance and weed removal frequency. Based on the most dominant or significant average values in this study, the planting distance treatment J3 (50 cm x 45 cm) was the most dominant, while the weed removal frequency treatment did not produce the most dominant or significant average values in each observation parameter
