Sistem Informasi Absensi Pada DPRD Langkat dengan Menggunakan Metode Waterfall Berbasis Website., At present, computer-based technology plays a vital role in advancing business and industry by streamlining tasks and providing fast and accurate information. Moreover, efficient information processing is essential to enhance the usability of data. Despite the digital era, many individuals and institutions still underutilize computer-based information systems, including the Langkat Regional House of Representatives (DPRD). The current attendance management system at DPRD Langkat is considered inefficient, as it relies entirely on manual processes—from data entry and calculation of arrival and departure times to absence tracking. This manual approach significantly delays the process of attendance recapitulation for DPRD members. Additionally, the use of physical documents (hardcopies) for attendance reports increases the likelihood of data recording errors, complicates data retrieval, and poses a risk of data loss. To address these issues, an attendance information system has been developed specifically for DPRD Langkat members. This system manages meeting schedules, member records, and attendance data in a centralized and automated way. It was built using the waterfall development model, utilizing PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database.
