Effective and efficient employee payroll management is a crucial aspect of human resource management in any company. PT. Labani Media Nusantara, a company engaged in the media and technology sector, requires an integrated, accurate, and realtime accessible payroll system. This study aims to design and develop a web-based employee payroll system using the Extreme Programming (XP) software development methodology. XP is chosen due to its high flexibility, intensive team communication, and its ability to produce software that quickly adapts to changing user requirements. The system development follows the stages of XP: planning, design, coding, and testing. The result of this research is a web-based payroll system equipped with features such as employee data management, automatic salary calculation based on components like basic salary, allowances, and deductions, as well as payslip generation. The system also includes user authorization features and digital payroll reporting. System testing was carried out using the black box method, which confirmed that all functions operate according to user requirements. This system significantly improves the payroll process by making it faster, reducing errors, and simplifying monitoring and reporting for management. The implementation of the XP methodology has proven effective in delivering a system that meets user needs and can be further developed in line with the company’s growth.
