In today's era of globalization, information technology plays a very important role in processing data and transforming it into accurate information. SMK Swasta Swakarya Binjai currently faces several recurring problems. Until now, the recording of book loans and returns has been done manually, which has made it difficult to retrieve information. The current system for recording book collections, member data, borrowing, returning, and fines is still done by writing in a ledger, which is felt to be ineffective and inefficient for library management. This makes it difficult for library members to find the books they want to read and complicates the process for staff to update the existing book data. This issue serves as the basis for developing a research system for book borrowing and return processes. The objective is to create an application for book borrowing and return processes. It is hoped that the developed application will successfully address the existing issues and facilitate both library members and administrators in conducting book borrowing and return processes at the library
