Volunteers are young people who, with high awareness, join PBPON, dedicate their energy, minds and hearts, to become part of the successful mission of organizing PON XXI-2024. Volunteers will be a differentiating element in the implementation of PON XXI-2024. Despite their status as volunteer workers, both in terms of recruitment and employment, these volunteer workers still follow professional standards in the world of employment. In the selection process for prospective volunteer workers, they usually submit applications to the organizing committee of PB-PON where they want to work. In short, despite their volunteer status, volunteer workers still try to present themselves as professional workers. This study uses a normative legal research method, namely a problem-solving approach by examining and reviewing applicable and competent laws and regulations to be used as a basis for solving problems. Becoming a volunteer worker is not easy, of course one of the problems often felt by volunteer workers is the problem of salary or compensation. From my observation, it is clear that volunteer workers usually do not receive a fixed salary, but they receive compensation after the event is over. Based on my interview results on September 23rd with one of the volunteer committee members, they only receive a salary of 150 thousand rupiah/day for the activity and they also receive health insurance from the labor department, but they must be proven to be sick.
