This research discusses how Tilawah teachers use the qira'ati method in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an. The objectives of the research are: 1) To determine the forms of difficulty and factors that influence students' difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an in Class XII MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak students. 2) To determine the use of the qiro'ati method in extracurricular activities in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an in Class XII MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak students. The method used in this research is the type of research is field research and the approach used is a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data sources including the head of MAS, PAI teachers, parents and students at MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak. The data collection techniques used were interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using three techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: 1) The use of the qira'ati method in extracurricular activities in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an in Class XII MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah students is more directed towards students' interests. Previously, the teacher raised students' interest and motivation to learn to read the Qur'an by providing advice, motivation and creating a conducive and enjoyable learning atmosphere and then using the qira'ati method. Where initially students are screened to be grouped according to their ability to read the Qur'an and for students who are poor at reading the Qur'an they will be put into groups learning to read the Qur'an according to their volume level, as well as for Students with good reading will be included in the AlQur'an sermon group. Then maximize the existing methods and media in learning to read the Al-Qur'an. 2) The forms of difficulty faced by MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Hamparan Perak students in reading the Al-Qur'an are regarding makharijul letters, Tajwid science, and the length and shortness of the reading. Factors that influence the ability to read the AlQur'an are generally due to family attention, community environment, peers, Al-Qur'an educational history and cellphone electronic devices.
