Indonesia is a country rich in biodiversity and has a strong tradition of using medicinal plants. In the context of efforts to fulfill the right to health in Indonesia, herbal medicine is an important alternative to pay attention to. This article discusses regulation and the legal impact of herbal medicinal products in efforts to fulfill health rights in Indonesia, with a focus on regulation, supervision, research and development, and public education. In an effort to fulfill the right to health through regulation of herbal medicinal products, the government needs to strengthen existing regulations, especially in terms of testing, certification and licensing. Increasing the monitoring capacity of herbal medicinal products, both in terms of human resources and equipment, is important to ensure product safety and quality. Research and development of herbal medicines must be continuously encouraged in order to create innovative products that are safe and highly efficacious. Education and outreach to the public regarding herbal medicines is also an important aspect in efforts to fulfill the right to health. Proper education can help people understand the benefits, side effects, and how to use herbal medicines correctly. In terms of law enforcement, the government needs to strictly and consistently enforce the law against violations in the herbal medicine industry, as well as increase collaboration between stakeholders in creating a conducive environment for the growth of a healthy and quality herbal medicine industry. By implementing the strategies that have been described, it is hoped that the regulation and legal impact of herbal medicinal products in Indonesia can be improved.
